Importance of the Liver Process

The liver is one of the most important and necessary organs in the body. Protected by the rib cage and weighing about three pounds, it has two sections; the right and left lobes. The gallbladder is under the liver along with parts of the pancreas and the intestines. The liver plays an important role in assisting digestion, absorption, and processing of food. But it also has another key function; it filters blood coming from the digestive tract before distributing it to the body. Not only does the liver secrete bile that goes back into the intestines it also makes proteins for blot clotting and it has other functions.
